Access all areas. Fast. Safe. Affordable.
The ability to view the earth from the air is a prerequisite for many types of surveying applications. At Drone Air, we offer two distinct platforms to serve your aerial surveying requirements, UAV drone or helicopter.
Drone aerial surveys
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones as they are more commonly known, have opened up the possibilities for all manner of aerial surveying and geomatics applications.
They eliminate the need for most of the equipment traditionally required for aerial surveys, and their ability to access elevated and awkward locations, coupled with their quick deployment and low cost, has revolutionised the aerial inspection industry.
Why send a human to do a dull or dangerous job, when a UAV can do it more quickly, reliably and at a far lower cost?
Should you require a live feed of the aerial view, we can provide the technology to achieve this.
Helicopter aerial surveys
While most surveys can be conducted with a camera drone, there are occasions when a helicopter aerial survey is actually more cost efficient and effective.
Unlike other aerial survey companies, we have both methods at our disposal, using a Eurocopter twin engine AS355 with Cineflex HD camera system and a Sony HDC-F950 camera with a 42x Fujinon zoom lens.
If you are undecided as to which platform may be most appropriate for your project, please visit our Our Aircraft page, which outlines the benefits and limitations of each option.
Aerial surveying applications:
